Overview
An Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Sherly Mathen is one of the most respected medical professionals in Kerala. Trained in all aspects of women’s health, she is an expert in laparoscopic, conventional, and robotic gynaecological surgeries, and management of high-risk pregnancies. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. These are in addition to an MBBS degree from M R Medical College, Gulbarga. Before joining the Centre of Excellence in Women’s Health, Dr. Mathen was a Consultant in Gynaecology and Laparoscopic Surgery at Lourdes Hospital, Kochi. She was also the coordinator of the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) teaching program there. She has also worked at notable medical facilities in the Middle East and Chennai.
