Being born to doctor parents Dr. C. J. Hemant Kumar, Cardiac Surgeon and Dr. Indrani Hemant Kumar, Anaesthetist, he was inspired to become a surgeon right from his childhood. After completion of Mbbs, his tryst with destiny began with General Surgery Residency at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai. He was fortunate to work with doctors in the forefront of every medical speciality and cutting edge technology. He was inspired by plastic and aesthetic surgery during his long posting in the department. With two national paper presentations and over 15 posters in state conferences, He was awarded the Braun Medical Trust Foundation Scholarship Grant for outstanding achievement in General Surgery in 2012.
Dr. Sudhanva next joined MCh in Plastic Surgery at the prestigious JIPMER University at Pondicherry. It is one of the top three central institutes and among the largest medical institutions in our country with over 15 million people visiting the hospital every year. JIPMER Plastic Surgery is a highly ranked plastic surgery program in India, with access to all world class technology, instruments and lasers. He underwent rigorous training in all aspects of plastic surgery including cosmetic surgery, breast surgery, microvascular and reconstructive surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, trauma and burns. With the motive to help burn patients lead a stigma free life, he carried out research on the role of Nano fat grafting in burn scars. He believes everyone deserves to feel and be beautiful in offering the best treatments with great care, safety, respect and compassion.
He has over 25 peer reviewed publications and a chapter on Low Level Lasers in an international textbook during his residency. He also has multiple presentations in national and international plastic surgery meetings to his credit. His interest and zeal in aesthetic surgery led him to organise aesthetic surgery webinars for plastic surgery residents and surgeons all over the world. His focus towards mastering aesthetic surgery and learning from the best led him to visit and master the art of cosmetic surgery from pioneers and leading surgeons across the world. He has also attended various international aesthetic meetings & courses to be updated with latest trends and advances in aesthetic surgery and also learn from various experts across the world presenting at the meeting. He has attended various cosmetic surgery conferences across the world to learn from various expert surgeons and discuss their techniques to improve and provide the best possible results. He continues to travel and visit the leading, successful plastic surgeons across the world to introduce the nuances of their techniques into practice. His only motive is to provide world class , reliable, quality medical care with utmost safety to his patients.
