An Anaesthetist with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Nisha is trained in inducing anaesthesia for high-risk surgical procedures including transplants. With several published research articles to her credit, her areas of interest include hepatobiliary and transplant anaesthesia, gastrointestinal critical care, and paediatric anaesthesia. Dr. Nisha has completed a Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Solid Organ Transplant from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. She also holds a Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) as well as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the discipline from Government Medical College, Calicut. She earned her MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Kottayam. She has worked as an Anaesthesiologist at PVS Memorial Hospital, Kochi, and was in charge of the perioperative anaesthetic management of liver transplant patients, before joining Aster Medcity. She has also taught Anaesthesiology at various institutes including Dr. DY Patil Medical College and Hospitals, Tata Memorial Hospital, and MGM Medical College and Hospital in Mumbai; Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Lakshmi Hospital in Kochi; and Government Medical College, Thrissur.
