Dr. Vinod Thomas is an internationally renowned Cardiologist with vast experience in the field of Interventional Cardiology and great academic credentials. He is leading the team Cardiology at Renai Medicity. He did his MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Thrissur, MD in Internal Medicine from Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode and DM Cardiology from the prestigious Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. He has DNB certifications from the National Board in General Medicine as well as in Cardiology. He is a fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, USA. He is also an International fellow of European Society of Cardiology and American College of Cardiology. He is a life member of Cardiological Society of India. He is the winner of prestigious Prof. G. K Warrier Gold Medal for the best outgoing MD post graduate from Calicut University in 2001. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of Interventional Cardiology, this dynamic and highly dedicated doctor has over 15,000 successful interventional cardiology procedures to his credit. He is specialised in doing Complex Multi vessel Angioplasties which can avoid open heart surgeries in most patients. He also takes special interest in Percutaneous Valve replacements and Devices closure of heart defects. He has also done several limb saving angioplasties to lower limbs. He is an expert in doing chronic total occlusion and bifurcation angioplasties. Dr. Vinod Thomas is a faculty to various National and International Cardiology Conferences and has several Publications to his credit. He is currently holding the post of Secretary of Indian College of Cardiology, Kerala Chapter.
